Oxygen Advantage Functional Breathing Certification

Get certified in Altitude! Our classes are usually simulated, but we are currently offering a unique opportunity to get certified live in altitude. This 21-hour program includes transformative training with a 4-day retreat in the stunning landscapes of Ouray, Colorado, often referred to as the Switzerland of America. During the retreat, you'll have the chance to meditate, do outdoor yoga, take a cold plunge in natural spring water, explore the surrounding areas in 4-wheel drive vehicles, and hike up a 285 ft waterfall.

TRAINING ADVANTAGE When you take the Oxygen Advantage® Functional Breathing Training you will:

• Learn to teach individuals or groups a unique proprietary breathing program with many applications to improve sports performance and health.
• Identify and improve functional breathing patterns from three dimensions; biochemical, biomechanical and coherent.
• Train with leading international breathing expert and author of The Oxygen Advantage, Patrick McKeown, and benefit from his 20-years’ experience and research.
• Join a growing international network of certified breathing instructors, and gain lifetime access to coaching, support and like-minded people

WHAT TO EXPECT:

During your Oxygen Advantage Breathwork Certification, you will enjoy 21 hours of training spread over 4 days, with plenty of time for activities. The program will take place in the stunning beauty of Ouray and will include gourmet, healthy meals and various activities such as hiking, yoga, sound healing, drum circles, cold plunges, and somatic breathwork. You will also have time to relax by the rivers and waterfalls as well as explore the beautiful grounds. Additionally, a private chef will prepare delicious meals using local, seasonal ingredients, all of which are included in the cost of the retreat.

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED:

• Flights to/from  Colorado Airport
• Transfers to/from Airport to Ouray. Contact us to advise transportation options or to coordinate shared rides
• National Parks Entry Fee should you want to explore on your own before or after the event 
• Private massage therapy (but can be arranged upon request for additional fees)
• 4x4 Transportation to/from Ouray to Hayden Backcountry Lodge ($65/each way)- Please coordinate with Christina 

ACCOMODATIONS:

All Rooms and Bathroom are shared accomodations. If you require a private area and we can accomodate, please coordiante with Christina 

LOCATION & TRAILS

A 4x4 high-cleanrance vehicle is required.  If you do not have a vehicle that can clear the challenging terrain, please advise so we can coordiante transportation for you up to the lodge.  The trail is hikeable so if you prefer to backpack up to the lodge it will be a 2 mile trek up approx 3,000ft.
